We have a guest speaker at most of our meetings, and each month the speakers and topics vary. The discussions are always interesting and are related to current events, on both the local and national levels.

• Dr. John Irving Halpern - Senior Medical Officer with the Homeland Security Department’s National Disaster Medical System

• Ed Pozzuoli - President, Tripp Scott Law Firm and Former Chairman, Republican Party of Broward County
• Victor Olshansky - Captain Olshansky served as the assistant operations officer for the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment "Wolfhounds" during his 13-month deployment to Iraq (January 2004-February 2005). He also served as a liaison officer to the 207th Iraqi Army Battalion where he was responsible for recruiting, training, and equipping a 1,000 man Iraqi Army unit. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service.

We continue to try to get good speakers from different organizations that are relevant to the world of politics, security and commerce as they pertain to current events, both local and national.

The Broward County Young Republicans club holds monthly YR socials at various locations throughout the county, typically on the third or fourth Wednesday of every month, though sometimes we may hold them on a Saturday during the weekend.
