The Broward Republican Party held a special fundraiser event on April 9 2006 in which Sen. John McCain, past and possibly future presidential contender, attended as a special guest speaker. The reception was at the Fort Lauderdale home of Larry and Sharon Day, Broward’s Republican state committeewoman.
